About museum

The Peder Khuzangai Museum houses 244 items in the main collection and 276 auxiliary items. On 5 display cases, 10 panels and 2 interior rooms the multifaceted work of the well-known Chuvash poet is presented. The first two display cases reflect Khuzangai's early creative period, while the others tell about his stay in Kazan, his studies at a pedagogical technical school and institute, his friendships with Tatar poets, life in Moscow, his service at the front, and Khuzangai's public and governmental activities. The panels supplement the display cases, and in the two interiors an icon from the local Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and books from the poet's personal library, his personal belongings and gifts received during trips are exhibited.
