Belgorod State Literary Museum
About museum
April 26, 1999, a museum dedicated to the 200th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin was opened. It is intended for the study and popularization of the history of the development of literature in the region, as well as for collecting and preserving everything that reflects the literary process and the cultural life of the Belgorod region. In five halls of the permanent exhibition are presented literary figures who lived in the territory of Belgorod Oblast from the 18th century to the present day. Here you can see memorial items of the region's natives: actor M. S. Shchepkin, critic and philosopher N. N. Strakhov, writer and Pushkin scholar A. I. Hessen, bibliographer V. Vladislavlev (Gulbinsky), inventor and cinematographer N. D. Anoshchenko. The museum staff actively collect holdings and conduct educational and scholarly work, doing everything possible to preserve the history of the Belgorod regional branch of the Union of Writers of the USSR and Russia.
