On January 20, 1984, the Bergul House-Museum named after P. P. Bazhov was opened in honor of Pavel Petrovich Bazhov, the first teacher. Every year in January Bazhov Days are held, dedicated to the writer's birthday: drawing and craft contests, quizzes, recitation competitions and other events. The house-museum is decorated with malachite-style mosaic, household items, paintings, metal embossings illustrating Bazhov's tales, and bones of prehistoric animals found in Bergul and nearby villages.
