Museum of 20th-Century Song
About museum
In the early 20th century the Fatyanov House was built in Vyazniki, located on Cathedral Square. A trading house opened on the first floor, and on the second a home cinema. In 1918 the house was nationalized, and the Fatyanovs left the town in 1929. During the 20th century various organizations occupied the building, but eventually it was abandoned and had to be restored. As a result, by decree of the head of the town the Museum of 20th-Century Song was opened in the restored building. Here visitors can see the parlor, small and large exhibition halls, and attend meetings with well-known song performers, concerts, festivals, competitions and presentations. The museum collects documents that testify to the glorious pages of the history of song art and is a member of the Association of Museums of Russia and the Association of Musical Museums of Russia. Everyone here is ready to cooperate with those who go through life with a song.
