Museum of the International Underground in Seshcha
About museum
In the Dubrovskaya area there is the only museum in the world dedicated to the Seshcha International Underground — a heroic chapter of the struggle against the Nazi invaders. The word 'Seshcha' became a symbol of the peoples' resistance to fascism. Here you can learn about the activities of the Soviet-Polish-Czech underground group, whose leaders were Konstantin Povarov and Anna Morozova. This served as the basis for the book and film by Ovidiy Gorchakov 'We Call Fire on Ourselves'. The museum also features an exhibition dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812, in which troops from Seshcha took part.
