Zavodoukovsky Local History Museum
About museum
On November 18, 1988, the executive committee of the district council adopted Decision No. 203 to establish the district local history museum. It houses permanent exhibitions. One of the oldest of them is the exhibition "The Life of Siberian Peasants at the end of the 19th–early 20th century", which allows visitors to see how their ancestors lived in those distant times. In 1997 the exhibition "My Gentle and Tender Beast" was opened, presenting a small part of the natural wealth of the Zavodoukovsky district. Archaeological monuments related to the well-known complex "Ingal Valley" can be seen in the exhibition "Secrets of Millennia", opened in 2003. As of January 2022, the museum's collection comprises 12,371 storage units, of which 6,421 units belong to the main collection and 5,754 units to the auxiliary collection.
