I. M. Sechenov Local History Museum

About museum

On September 15, 1995, a museum was opened in Sechenov. It consists of five exhibitions. The first exhibition is devoted to the history of the Teplostanskaya area and displays agricultural tools, household items, handicrafts, banknote collecting (notaphily), and numismatics. The second exhibition is dedicated to the Heroes of the USSR, veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War; original items, letters and death notices are on display. The third exhibition is devoted to the life and work of the local artist D. N. Danilin. The fourth exhibition shows the diversity of the nature and wildlife of the Sechenov region. The fifth exhibition is dedicated to the life and scientific activity of I. M. Sechenov and displays scientific works, book editions, and photographs. The museum offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the history and culture of the Sechenov region.
