Sibay Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
On March 24, 1959, a city school museum opened in Sibay, which in 1991 was included in the state network of museums of Bashkortostan and transformed into the Sibay Historical and Local Lore Museum. In 1993 a new premises of 1,172.7 square meters was allocated for the museum, and exhibits from the Bashkir Copper-Sulfur Combine were acquired. The museum was ceremonially opened in 1998, and its official presentation day took place in 2000. The museum features six exhibition halls containing more than 13,000 exhibits.
