Tashlinsky District Local History Museum
About museum
On May 12, 2002 the administration of Tashlinsky District issued an order to establish a local history museum. Vera Vasilievna Ganshina was appointed to lead the museum — a veteran teacher with 44 years of service. She worked for two years collecting exhibits and historical materials for the museum with the help of the district's residents. Vladimir Ivanovich Suslikov, the head of the district, provided a solid building in the center of Tashla on Novaya Street, which was promptly renovated, equipped, and opened on July 17, 2004, on the 230th anniversary of the village of Tashla. V. V. Ganshina arranged the museum halls, organized its operations, and developed a concept for the patriotic education of the younger generation. In 2007 the Tashlinsky Local History Museum was awarded the title "People's". After V. V. Ganshina retired, Svetlana Sergeevna Polyanskaya became the museum director. In 2021 the museum was visited by 7353 people, of whom 2044 were adults and 5309 were children. More than 250 tours and 30 events were held.
