About museum

The museum offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of sports development in the Republic of Tatarstan and to become acquainted with the achievements of famous athletes, coaches and figures of physical culture and sports. In 1996 the Sh. Kh. Galeev Sports Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan was established, located in the Sports Palace of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism. It features 47 display cases with information on the achievements of leading athletes, coaches, teams and honored figures of physical culture and sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, who have brought fame to the republic at the All-Union, All-Russian and international arenas. The museum offers visitors a complete picture of the history of sports development in the Republic of Tatarstan and an introduction to the achievements of famous athletes, coaches and figures of physical culture and sports. Here you can gain a full understanding of the history of sports development in the Republic of Tatarstan and learn about the achievements of leading athletes, coaches, teams and honored figures of physical culture and sports.
