The name of D. M. Karbyshev, the great Russian general, is recognized by peoples around the world as a symbol of unfailing courage and devotion to the Motherland. The museum dedicated to him includes a main collection of 580 exhibits and a scientific and auxiliary collection of 920 exhibits. The main sections and themes of the museum are devoted to the life and feats of D. M. Karbyshev; fascist death factories; the Karbyshev movement; heroes among us who took part in Afghanistan and the Great Patriotic War; the hero's daughter; and Omsk during the war years.
