Museum of the History of Kazan University
About museum
On November 30, 1979 the Museum of the History of Kazan Federal University was opened. Its exhibition contains more than 1,500 exhibits representing the university's two-hundred-year history. The main section is devoted to science and presents the achievements, discoveries and schools that brought the university worldwide recognition. The museum also presents the history of prominent scientists and famous alumni, as well as the university's participation in the socio-political life of the country. In addition to the main exhibition, the museum features a memorial complex created by Professor G. N. Vulfson, as well as the law faculty's lecture room and an assembly hall recreated in the style of the second half of the 19th century.
