Tverskoy District: Through the Pages of Musical History – Walking Tour

On January 24 at 17:00 there will be a walking tour "Tverskoy District: Through the Pages of Musical History". The Tverskoy District can rightfully be called "musical". In the very heart of the city there are a large number of architectural monuments closely connected with Moscow's musical history.

In these places lived Shostakovich, Prokofiev and many other great composers, conductors and performers.

In the second half of the 20th century Tverskoy became a magnet for stilyagi, hippies and rock musicians, who met in now-iconic cafés and bars.

The tour is not only a walk through the city's streets, but also an opportunity to touch the cultural heritage of our country, to "hear" the music sounding from the past.

Start of the tour: inside the pavilion of Ploshchad Revolyutsii metro station of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line (blue line), exit 11, near the escalator exit.

End: Tverskaya metro station
