About museum

In 1988 a branch of the State Budgetary Cultural Institution of the Astrakhan Region "Astrakhan Museum-Reserve" was established in Oranzherei village. It is housed in a two-story wooden mansion that belonged to the merchant Bezzubikov. The museum displays photographic documents and items related to the fishing trade and everyday life. It tells about the development of the Oranzherei fishing trade from its origins to the present day. In addition, the institution actively cooperates with tourist companies of the Astrakhan Region, conducting bus tours of the museum's exhibitions.
