USER GUIDE\r\n\r\nMuseum Search\r\n\r\nThe site idemvmuzei.ru is a service for finding museums across the country, creating personal collections, sharing experiences, and creating original content. Our site contains the largest and most up-to-date database of museums in Russia. You can search for museums in curated lists, categories, and on the map. Below we explain step-by-step how this can be done.
There is a search bar at the top of the homepage. You can use it to search for museums by name.
Not sure which museum to visit? Our themed collections will help you decide — they include a wide variety of museums to suit every taste.
Looking for museums in your city or planning a trip? Create interesting routes using our website! To find museums on the map, go to the 'On the Map' tab in the top right corner of the homepage. You can select the city you're interested in and filter museums by category. To see a museum's name, click the red flag. You can also click the 'heart' next to a museum's name to save it to a personal collection (this feature is available only to registered users).
Site Authorization
Authorized users gain access to the site's extended functionality. You can create personal museum collections, save favorite blog posts, write your own content for the site, add and edit museum pages, leave impressions about your visits, and interact with other users. Here we explain two ways to sign in to the site.
There is a 'Login' button in the top right corner of the homepage. Click it to go to the authorization page:
You can choose to sign in via email or via your VK profile. In the first case we send you a message to verify your email.
If you register via VK, authorization occurs through VK ID. This is an easier way to sign in from a smartphone. Done! You can now use all the features of the site.
Personal Account
We have developed a simple and convenient personal account interface. After signing in, the 'Login' button in the top right corner becomes a link to your personal account. Click it and a menu will open: 'My Museums', 'Impressions', 'Blogs', 'Newsletter', 'Edit Profile', 'Control Panel'.
On each museum's page there is a heart-button labeled 'Want to visit' and a 'Visited' button. By clicking them, you can create interesting lists of museums to visit, mark the museums you have already visited, and leave reviews.
This is what a museum collection looks like in the personal account. There, in the 'Blogs' tab, you can save favorite blog posts and subscribe to our newsletter:
