18:00 — Program 'Not-So-Random Story: a game of classics'
An interactive guided-search through the exhibition 'A Game for a Lifetime. "Konduit i Shvambraniya" by Lev Kassil' for teenagers and adults, during which participants will talk about invented and real worlds, book characters and real people, and closely examine exhibits: illustrations, theatrical sketches, letters, photographs. The direction of the story will depend on their choices and answers.

20:00 — Concert 'Romances of the Autumn Arbat'
Musical evenings and concerts were an integral part of life in the house on Trubnikov Lane. We invite you to listen to old and modern romances accompanied by guitar.

Participants will take a tour through the exhibition 'A Game for a Lifetime. "Konduit i Shvambraniya" by Lev Kassil', with a special focus on the happy personal and creative life of the writer and the tragic fate of his beloved brother — journalist and publicist Iosif.
Similar fates befell the Friland brothers, known by their pen names: caricaturist Boris Efimov and writer and public figure Mikhail Koltsov. The outstanding geneticist Nikolai Vavilov could not be helped by his younger brother, physicist Sergey Vavilov.
Using their popularity and public position, these figures actively acted to save their relatives, but everything was in vain. Why were some lucky and others not? Why was advocacy useless?
Host: Natalya Leonova
Price: 450 RUB.

21:30 — Program 'Tour de France with Ostroukhov'
A journey — 'voyage', in French — 'à la française'. We offer you to visit France with Ilya Semyonovich Ostroukhov without leaving Moscow.
Ilya Semyonovich was not only a well-known collector and artist but also a passionate traveler. A regular guest of Parisian theaters and galleries, a lover of the waves of Biarritz and the mineral waters of Contrexéville, Ostroukhov often paid attention to France. Ilya Semyonovich spoke French fluently: he corresponded with Rodin, hosted Henri Matisse in his Moscow mansion, and was friends with the French gallerist Paul Durand-Ruel.
Together with the collector we will travel around France at the end of the 19th — beginning of the 20th century and talk about life in that country at the time. At the end of our journey we will play French lotto.
Host: Anastasia Barkova
Price: 450 RUB.

A. P. Chekhov House-Museum

18:00 — 20:30 free admission to the exhibition 'The Chekhov Collection of the State Literary Museum: new acquisitions'. The permanent exhibition is open until 19:00.

One of Chekhov's most devoted readers and admirers was D. D. Shostakovich, who left perceptive lines about the writer and his work in his book of memoirs.

Music teachers from the S. I. Taneev music school Ekaterina Ivanova (piano) and Leonid Guryev (trumpet) will present one of the most popular short pieces by D. D. Shostakovich — the suite from the score to the film 'The Gadfly', and pieces from Shostakovich's cycle 'Five Pieces for Two Violins and Piano' will be performed by teachers from children's music schools named after N. S. Golovanov and V. I. Safonov (MGODSHI 'Izmailovo') — Kristina Drain, Tatyana Martynova and Elena Yefimovskaya.

18:00 — 20:00 free admission to the permanent exhibition and the exhibition 'Into the Vast Apartment That Brings Melancholy...'.

18:00 — Tour of the exhibition 'Into the Vast Apartment That Brings Melancholy...'
'Today we went to look at the apartment on Volkhonka...' This phrase from a July 1911 letter is one of the earliest mentions of the apartment at Volkhonka 14, which was provided to the well-known artist Leonid Osipovich Pasternak by the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
The family will live in this apartment for many years. In the studio on Volkhonka many drawings are created, some of which Boris Pasternak will later choose for the Peredelkino dacha in the late 1940s. Leonid Osipovich paints not only his relatives but also portraits of famous people, for example the poet Émile Verhaeren, who came to Russia at the invitation of Valery Bryusov in 1913. It was here on Volkhonka that the first sketches for the painting 'The Congratulations' were made. In 1921 Leonid Osipovich, Rozalia Isidorovna, Josephine and Lidia Pasternak left for Germany from here. What was thought to be for a few years turned out to be forever.
The tour, led by a staff member of the B. L. Pasternak House-Museum Elena Dymich, will cover the ten years spent in Apartment No. 9.
Price: 300 RUB.

Museum of the World Ocean (Kaliningrad)

The Museum of the World Ocean joins the traditional annual 'Night of the Arts', which will be held on November 3 from 19:00 to 22:00. The route will unite two museum sites — the cultural heritage sites Bastion 'Lithuania' and the Royal Gates.

In the halls of the 'Lithuania' bastion guests, together with a guide, can walk through the fortification, watch films and warm up with hot tea at the open-air cafe. Under the vaults of the old bastion visitors will see the exhibition 'If There Is a Fleet, Harbors Will Be Found', which tells about the history of the Russian fleet, traditions of Peter's shipbuilding, and also informs about urban fortification structures.

Tours of the 'Lithuania' bastion halls will start at 19:00, 20:00 and 21:15. Each tour will be 'opened' by a drum show, and at 20:45 a spectacular fire show will take place on the territory of the 'Lithuania' bastion. 'Night of the Arts' is a great opportunity to peek into the 'Lithuania' bastion for those who have not yet seen the halls of this once closed-to-the-public structure.

At the Royal Gates guests will meet the old town and its inhabitants, with music and dances. From 19:00 a concert program will start in Karetniy Proezd: musicians from the branch of the Central Music School – AII 'Baltic' will perform, and Kseniya Avgust will present a poetic program. After 20:00 guests will be able to learn to dance the polonaise in a special workshop and hear the ensemble 'Legenda'. The museum 'Poterna' will also open its doors. Visitors will walk along its hidden corridors and hear a talk about the unusual role of bricks in art. Note that the Royal Gates will be open on November 3 from 11:00 to 22:00. Before 19:00 a children's festival 'Islands' will take place here, and from 19:00 the 'Night of the Arts' will begin.

Also, during the 'Night of the Arts' the path from the Royal Gates to the 'Lithuania' bastion will turn into a guided walk, where a guide will tell about the ancient fortress walls that stood in this place many centuries ago. Walking tours start at both sites simultaneously at 19:30 and 20:30.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices of the 'Lithuania' bastion and the Royal Gates during the event. Ticket price for one site — 400 RUB. Walking tour price — 200 RUB.
