About museum

The M. Y. Lermontov House‑Museum was opened in Moscow on February 19, 1981. In 2014 the museum underwent extensive restoration and reconstruction.

The exhibition is dedicated to Lermontov's studies at the University Noble Boarding School and at Moscow Imperial University, as well as to the poet's spiritual and creative life. The exhibition features original family portraits, the poet's self-portrait, books with his autographs, drawings and paintings by Lermontov.
