In 2020, the Petin Sculpture Department was opened at the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts. This house was built in 1940 with the active participation of sculptor G. A. Petin. At that time he was one of the most outstanding members of the community of Orenburg artists. His daughter, Nadezhda Gavrilovna Petina — an Honored Artist of Russia — created many monuments in the towns and district centers of the Orenburg Region and beyond. In June 2020, N. G. Petina donated to the Orenburg Region the house with a magnificent studio, built in central Orenburg by her father, as well as sculptures, paintings, personal belongings and photographs. Now visitors and residents of the city have the opportunity to see the legendary studio and house of the celebrated sculptors, and to view the works handed over by N. Petina to the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts in January 2021. The Petin family left a rich cultural heritage that emerged in the creative life of the Orenburg region.
