Zelenogorsk Museum and Exhibition Center
About museum
The Zelenogorsk Museum and Exhibition Center was established in 1994 as a result of the merger of the City Art Gallery and the Museum of the History of the Town. Each of the museums had its own history, collections and forms of activity. In July 2001 the museum collections and staff moved to a new building. The holdings of the Museum and Exhibition Center represent monuments of material and spiritual culture: the history of Zelenogorsk, the artistic life of the town and Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia and the countries of the former USSR. All exhibits entered the museum through donations from townspeople, collection during expeditions to villages, or purchases. The museum cooperates with various museums, institutes and foundations. Educational activities are based on existing permanent exhibitions, temporary thematic exhibitions and materials obtained through scientific and publishing activities.
