Boris Yakovlevich Ryauzov – a Soviet and Russian landscape painter. He was born on July 1, 1919 in the village of Biryuchya Kosa. He studied at the Omsk Art School; from 1940 he participated in exhibitions and in 1942 became a member of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. In the same year Ryauzov voluntarily went to the front and returned to Krasnoyarsk in 1947, where he lived and worked until the end of his life. He served as chairman of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR and was a member of the board of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Ryauzov became the first artist from Siberia to be elected a full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He received the I. E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR for a series of paintings dedicated to places associated with Lenin's life. In 1978 he taught at the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts. Boris Yakovlevich Ryauzov died in Krasnoyarsk in 1994.
