The Museum of Weights and Measures of the Volgograd Weighing Equipment Plant is one of Volgograd's most prominent attractions. Its unique collection comprises over 2,400 items, including antique scales, weights, hanging scales (bezmens), books, catalogs, postcards and photographs. The museum is unparalleled in the region, making it one of the city's most interesting places. Since 2009 it has been open to everyone. The exhibition offers exciting experiences for both novice collectors and lovers of antiques. Museum staff organize informative tours for various groups and also provide free consultations on the history of scales. Over the years the museum has held several temporary exhibitions and competitions, received letters of appreciation from partners and, most importantly, positive feedback from visitors.
