Shebekinsky Historical and Art Museum in the Belgorod region is renowned for its abundant collections, high level of research, engaging exhibitions and cultural-educational projects. The museum's exhibition comprises five halls and reflects historical events that took place in the area. The museum displays mammoth bones, stone axes, items from ancient burials, Scythian and Slavic weapons, old coins, awards, photographs of pre-revolutionary Shebekino, and paintings by well-known artists. The museum holds 37,000 items. Staff conduct research and publish articles in scientific collections, and also present papers at regional and international conferences. The museum hosts cultural and educational events, museum lessons and walking tours. More than 30,000 visitors come to the museum annually.
