Russko-Polyansky Museum of the History of the Virgin Lands
About museum
In the Russko-Polyansky municipal district in 1986 the Museum of the History of the Virgin Lands was opened with the support of Nazarov I. A., the First Secretary of the RK CPSU for the Russko-Polyansky district. It houses rare exhibits reflecting the region's history: household items and tools of the settlers, letters, memoirs, and items that belonged to participants of the Great Patriotic War. Here one can also find two-way radios, fragments of lethal shells, soldiers' helmets pierced by bullets and other unique objects. The museum is intended to celebrate the great labor feat on Russko-Polyansky land and to pass on its memory to new generations.
