At the Museum‑Theatre 'Tavern' you can recreate the atmosphere of the 19th century. Display cases with tableware and samovars will help you with this. On the walls you can see works by artists, posters and images from the Yelabuga museum‑reserve. You are surrounded by merchant interiors, friendly hostesses and domestic staff, as well as dishes of Russian and Tatar cuisine. In the museum you will learn the story of the 'fly', which gave rise to the expression 'to be tipsy' (Russian: ходить под мухой).
