CSKA Museum of Sporting Glory

About museum

On July 16, 1980, the Museum of the Central Sports Club of the Army was opened in Moscow. Its collection features more than 2,500 unique exhibits, many of which have no equivalents not only in Russia but also abroad. There you can see Nina Ponomaryova's training discus, Anatoly Karpov's chess set, the saddle gifted by Semyon Budyonny to Ivan Kalita, and the trophies of the club's athletes. The Museum hosts tours and events that attract schoolchildren, students, and guests of the Central Sports Club of the Army. The exhibits trace the entire history of the club from its founding to the present day.
