'Ataman' is a reconstructed Cossack stanitsa located on the shore of the Taman Bay. More than 200 years ago the first colony of Black Sea Cossacks was landed here. Since then the history of the Taman Peninsula began and continues to this day. The best traditions of the Kuban Cossacks are showcased here, and there are engaging excursions for both adults and children. You can visit cozy taverns and sample the local cuisine. This project has combined the tourist and cultural-historical potential of Krasnodar Krai and received recognition in the form of a resolution by the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Krai, which declared it a particularly valuable object of Krasnodar Krai's cultural heritage in the field of traditional folk culture. The Ataman Exhibition Complex is an example of successful event tourism not only in Krasnodar Krai but across Russia.
