N. A. Dobrolyubov State Literary and Memorial Museum

N. A. Dobrolyubov State Literary and Memorial Museum is a unique place in Russia and in the world. It is dedicated to the life and work of the literary critic, poet, journalist and educator Nikolay Alexandrovich Dobrolyubov (1836–1861). The two buildings of the Dobrolyubov estate, built in 1838 to a design by G. I. Kizevetter, are monuments of history and culture of federal and regional significance. The museum was opened on September 13, 1971 in the wing of the Dobrolyubov estate where N. A. Dobrolyubov spent his childhood and youth. In 1986, on the 150th anniversary of Nikolay Alexandrovich's birth, a historical and literary exhibition was opened in the museum's main building. The museum houses items related to Dobrolyubov's life and work, as well as items that belonged to his relatives.
