People's Museum of the Moscow Metro
About museum
The idea of creating a museum of the Moscow Metro was proposed immediately after the opening of the first stage of the metro. In 1967, at the initiative of veterans, the project was actively supported by Zinaida Troitskaya, deputy head of the metro. The initial exhibition displayed documents preserved by metro employees. They told about people associated with the metro. Since then, the museum's collections and exhibitions have been continuously expanded; here you can also learn about the history of the development of equipment that ensures the safety, culture and comfort of passenger transportation. Models of various technical systems are also presented. All this makes the Moscow Metro Museum an interesting and informative place to visit.
