M.T. Kalashnikov Memorial Museum

The Museum of Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov was established by order of the Altai Krai administration to commemorate his achievements on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of his birth. It is located in a building that is a monument of regional wooden architecture, built in 1905 for a rural school where the future designer studied. It was reconstructed by LLC "Architectural Workshop Toskina" and LLC "Self". The museum's collection includes photographs, documents, books, magazines, awards, personal belongings and souvenirs related to the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. The exhibition is divided into seven sections, authored by I. V. Popova and M. G. Gizatulin. The museum presents the life and destiny of a person and is intended to foster and develop national pride and patriotism.
