The museum, located in the former Mariinskaya Hospital for the Poor, built in 1806, offers visitors an opportunity to become acquainted with F. Dostoevsky's childhood.

\r\nIn this apartment on Novaya Bozhedomka, which has borne his name since 1954, the writer lived from 1823 to 1837. Here you can see a historical interior recreated in 1980 based on the memoirs of A. Dostoevsky. The exhibition 'The World of Dostoevsky' presents memorial items such as objects from the writer's house, portraits of his parents and ancestors, bronze candelabra, a sofa, a writing desk, writing instruments, spectacles, a Gospel, visiting cards, a box with cigarette tubes, and a copy of a bookcase made to order by A. Dostoevskaya. It is a wonderful place for an in-depth study of F. Dostoevsky's life and work.
