Printshop Museum "Pages of the History of Printing"
About museum
In the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg there is a unique museum headed by N. V. Serdyukov, a graphic artist from a long line of artists. Here visitors can not only learn a lot of interesting facts about the history and technologies of printing, but also produce a souvenir print themselves using 16 antique presses. There is also a workshop for children where, in an hour to an hour and a half, they can create a monotype, an engraving, an etching and even a linocut. Finished pieces can be purchased, and visitors note the pleasant atmosphere, warm hospitality, attentiveness and love for guests.
