The Museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the 20th Century" lifts the veil on the mysteries of the past century for its visitors. Faces, eras, journals and literary associations presented in the museum's permanent exhibition follow one another in striking installations. From provincial Yekaterinburg, visitors enter a propaganda railcar to Sverdlovsk, approach the wall of the brutal 1930s, are transported to the 'fateful 1940s' and finally reach the writer's laboratory — a whirlwind of manuscripts and books. Ural rock, "Karavella", "Kolyada Theatre"… From turn-of-the-century Sverdlovsk to the city's contemporary cultural life. The virtual part of the museum exhibition includes: the Museum of Ural Science Fiction (from Infantyev to Drugal), the Yekaterinburg "mysterium" revealing urban legends, and the Museum of Ural Fairy Tales for the youngest visitors. The multimedia space lets you soar in a spaceship and on a flying carpet, converse with the Chud queen and the serpent Daiko, and travel freely through the centuries from the 18th to the 22nd. The museum runs an interactive program called "Stray Dog", featuring distinguished guests such as M. Tsvetaeva, V. Mayakovsky and V. Kamensky. In quest form you can follow the route of the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps — move to Orel and Bryansk, cross the Vistula, take Berlin and liberate Prague.
