About museum
In Ivanovo there is one of the few museums dedicated to the People's Artist of Russia, a native of the Ivanovo region, Alexander Ivanovich Morozov. Morozov is known as a Moscow landscape painter who devoted his whole life to creating on canvas and paper depictions of the nature of Central Russia, cityscapes, the Volga and the Moskva River. The museum was opened on September 19, 2001 in a building constructed in 1910 that is a monument of the city's civil architecture. Here you can view the permanent exhibition, which includes the artist's works and personal belongings, and also visit temporary exhibitions dedicated to various aspects of A. I. Morozov's work.
