Sabinsky Centralized Local History Museum
About museum
The museum owes its origin to Sabinskaya Secondary School. In 1984 the construction of the new school building was completed. One room was allocated for the school museum. In 1993 the Sabinsky branch of the State Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan was established; it had been operating as a volunteer-run museum since 1985.
As of today, the Sabinsky Centralized Local History Museum (District Local History Museum) is a legal entity, does not have its own premises, and is located in the building of the district library, with a total area of 78.15 sq. m. The museum's main profile is historical.
The most valuable exhibits in the museum include: mammoth bones, a collection of soldiers' letters, copies of award sheets of participants of the Great Patriotic War, a collection of archaeological finds, a collection of monetary notes, sculptural depictions of G. Tukay and his contemporaries (author K. Zamitov), personal belongings of the Order of Glory (three classes) recipient — sniper Abdulla Motygullin, personal belongings of Hero of the Soviet Union Vali Khaziev, a bound run of the frontline newspapers "Alga doshman östene" 1942–1943 in Tatar, and others.
