Branch of the Victory Museum 'Zhukov Museum'

The branch of the Victory Museum is located in the town of Zhukov, the regional center of Kaluga Oblast. Nearby is the village of Strelkovka, where the famous Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov was born. The museum dedicated to him has existed since 1960. The first exhibition opened in 1980, and in 1995 a new building for the State Museum of G.K. Zhukov was constructed. In 2020 it became a branch of the Victory Museum. The museum houses personal belongings, photographs, and documents provided by Georgy Konstantinovich and his relatives. Currently the museum's collection numbers over 18,000 exhibits. On display are the architectural and sculptural composition 'Homeland of Marshal G.K. Zhukov' and the reconstructed 'Zhukov House'.
