Literary and Memorial Museum of Fyodor Abramov
About museum
\r\nIn the village of Verkola, the birthplace of Fyodor Alexandrovich Abramov, there is a branch of the Arkhangelsk Local History Museum, a laureate of the All‑Russian Literary Prize named after Fyodor Abramov and the Union of Writers of Russia prize named after Eduard Volodin. It was opened on December 7, 1986 thanks to the significant contribution of Lyudmila Vladimirovna Krutikova‑Abramova, who donated more than 3,000 items. The museum includes Abramov's memorial estate, the former village school, and the peasant house of the Inyakhin family, which was acquired in 1993. The museum houses exhibitions and displays about Abramov's life and work, and literary festivals and meetings are held here. The museum's history is closely connected with the history of the old village of Pinezhye, where the writer's voice was born and the best traditions of Russian folk culture have been preserved.
