About museum
The Krasnoyarsk Regional Local History Museum is one of the oldest museums in Siberia and Russia, having played an active role in developing the region's cultural potential. The museum's unique collections present the history of Krasnoyarsk Krai from ancient times to the present. They include the epistolary heritage of the Decembrists, memorabilia of V. I. Surikov, a collection of church antiquities, the collections of G. V. Yudin, V. P. Astafyev, D. A. Hvorostovsky and others. The museum also preserves gifts from the governors of Krasnoyarsk Krai V. Zubov, A. Lebed, and A. Khloponin. Each year the museum's holdings are increased by 2–3 thousand storage units.
