About museum
The house of A.I. Solzhenitsyn's aunt, M.Z. Gorina, in Kislovodsk, where the writer lived in 1920–1924, was designated a cultural heritage site of federal significance and transferred to the State Literary Museum for museification. On December 12, 2014 the building was opened — the Information and Cultural Center "A.I. Solzhenitsyn Museum" began operation. Today you can learn more here about the life and work of the famous Russian writer and outstanding figure of the 20th century.
The permanent exhibition is devoted to Solzhenitsyn's childhood; it tells of his youth, as well as the years of the Great Patriotic War, his period of imprisonment and the subsequent publication of the novella "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich."
The museum features multimedia content, including a dynamic display case, an information table, a video screen, an individual tablet and other interactive elements.
