On July 6 the exhibition "Russian Manor" will open at the house-museum of the artist S. V. Gerasimov.
Residents of Mozhaysk and visitors to the town will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of country life from the pre-revolutionary era to the present day.
Country life invites a measured and unhurried creation of the world around us. An integral part of dacha life are those little objects of beloved antiquity that have long fallen out of use. For example, the samovar, as one of the symbols of manor-and-country life, accompanied residents both in the pre-revolutionary era and during the Soviet period, and is once again returning in our days.
The dacha does not end at the fence. This world continues on into flower fields, mushroom woods, along dirt country roads…
All works presented at the exhibition are executed in dry pastel technique.
You can see both large-format paintings and graphic sketches by the project's author, the artist Natali Mikhailyuk.
