The Zhiguli Fairy Tale Museum-Theatre offers visitors an engaging journey into the world of folk characters of the Samarskaya Luka. Here you can meet the Mistress of the Zhiguli Mountains, Shishiga, the Iron Wolf, Volkodir, the Wooden Eagle and other characters. Visitors can also dress up in the heroes' costumes and take part in a theatrical performance. After the visit, you can make talismans and get acquainted with a map of the Samarskaya Luka. The museum opened on April 17, 2006 and is located in the "Neftyanik" House of Culture in the village of Zolnoye. Regular excursions are held here for children studying the history of the Samarskaya Luka. The museum has interactive window-tables where you can see the fairy-tale characters. Here children can learn about characters from Mordvin, Chuvash and Russian tales, and also find out how the legends of the Samarskaya Luka are born.
