About museum
On October 4, 1973, on the premises of the Krylovsky elevator, by order No. 43-16-11 dated 25.01.1972 of the Krasnodar Regional Administration of Grain Products, the Museum of Y. V. Kondratyuk (A. I. Shargey) was opened. As the chief engineer of the elevator and the museum's first director, V. N. Ivashchenko managed the museum's activities; he collected numerous documents, memoirs and items to clarify the mysterious biography of Y. V. Kondratyuk. At present, the contribution and significance of his work to the development and formation of astronautics are being evaluated and recognized, and he is rightly called the second Tsiolkovsky.
