Khatsun Memorial Complex

In memory of the victims of the Nazi occupation regime in the Bryansk region during the Great Patriotic War (World War II), the Khatsun Memorial Complex was opened on October 25, 2011. It includes mass graves, symbolic stelae, a Wall of Sorrow with the 'Khatsun' monument, a chapel, and a worship cross. The museum has three halls: 'Memorial', 'History of Khatsun', and 'The Nazi Occupation Regime in the Bryansk Region, 1941–1943'. It houses materials documenting the destruction of villages in Russia and aspects of civilian life during the war, as well as evidence of reprisals against partisans and civilians.
