Rodniki Tourist Center
About museum
\r\nThe town of Rodniki has a rich history that begins with the Krasilshchikov family of factory owners, who not only built weaving workshops but were also true patrons. A school for the children of their factory workers was built in 1839 with funds provided by Elena Ivanovna Krasilshchikova; it became known as "Alenushkina School". The exhibition hall displays documents, photographs, and fabric samples that tell the story of Rodniki's development since 1606, interiors of pre-revolutionary peasant life, rooms from the 1920s and a Soviet apartment from the 1950s–1960s, as well as exhibits dedicated to the war years, the Bolshevik melange factory, and the tragic events of contemporary Russian history. The center hosts presentations, events, and exhibitions, and also has a souvenir shop.
