Knyazhpogost District Museum of History and Local Lore

About museum

The district historical and local history museum was founded in June 1969 at the initiative of the public. In 1990 it entered the state sector and acquired a more scientific character. It searches for, studies, collects and preserves objects of the material and spiritual culture of the local population, as well as the history and nature of the Knyazhpogost District. It organizes exhibitions, conferences, and meetings with notable people and local historians to promote knowledge about the traditional culture of the Komi people.
