Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve is a place of unique attractions. It is located within the architectural ensemble of the 16th–19th centuries of the former Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here you can find the oldest surviving buildings of the city with a thousand-year history, and also see the only viewing platform in the historic part of the city at a height of 32 meters. The museum's collection comprises more than 350,000 items, including manuscript and printed books from the 12th–20th centuries, the treasures of the sacristies of Yaroslavl's monasteries and churches, works by the finest medieval jewelers, and examples of precious liturgical and ornamental embroidery. The museum hosts music festivals, exhibitions, guided tours and other events. Here you can see the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the Yaroslavl region and Russia.
