Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve is a place of unique sights. It is located in the 16th–19th-century architectural ensemble of the former Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here you can find the city's oldest surviving buildings with a thousand-year history, and also see the only viewing platform in the historic part of the city at a height of 32 meters. The museum's collection comprises more than 350,000 items, including manuscript and printed books from the 12th–20th centuries, treasures from the treasuries of Yaroslavl's monasteries and churches, works by the finest medieval jewelers, and pieces of precious liturgical and ornamental embroidery. The museum hosts music festivals, exhibitions, guided tours and other events. Here you can see the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the Yaroslavl region and of Russia. The main exhibitions on display are: natural history, historical, the Yaroslavl Treasury, and the unique exhibition 'The Tale of Igor's Campaign'. Come and enjoy!
