Gergebil Local History Museum
About museum
The Gergebil Local History Museum houses a unique collection of archaeological artifacts that provide insight into the earliest periods of Dagestan. Its exhibits include traditional highlander clothing, as well as weaving and spinning looms, homespun carpets, furniture and household utensils, ceramic items, and hammered copperware. Special attention is given to notable local figures such as Idris Gergebilsky, Magomed Gimbatovich and Osman Abdurakhmanov. The museum holds over 770 exhibits and is a branch of the National Museum of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi, which was opened in 2012.
