Until May 25, 2025, you have the opportunity to discover a new artist and the artist's wonderful, atmospheric paintings created with love.
Irina Eroshkina's works are a playful dialogue with the folk doll. The artist amuses herself and plays, endowing her characters with fleeting moods.
The image of cheerful chants accompanies the exhibition. The entire series of works, born from impressions of a stay in Valday, is identified with stylized images of dolls, scraps, and the decor of folk life.
The dolls stroll with kittens through the streets of Valday and tend to little dolls. Toy horses fly above the bell tower, leaving far below Valday Lake and the town itself. The artist paints them, admiring their changing moods, movement, and character. Among the exhibition's protagonists are friends of the artist. Their appearance is natural in everyday creative labors. Thus, the series of graphic works "Valday Melodies" consists of a portrait of craftswoman Irina Garkovenko, the "revived" endearing choir of folk dolls, and children's games with refrains.
