Pushkin in Cherdyn

In 2024 our museum turns 125 years old, and together with MAOU "Secondary General Education School No. 9 named after A.S. Pushkin with an advanced focus on physics and mathematics", Perm, we are holding a regional contest of the amazing postcard "Adventures of A. S. Pushkin in Cherdyn", dedicated to the museum's 125th anniversary and the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin's birth.

The aim of the contest is to develop participants' creative potential and to draw attention to the literary, historical and local-history heritage of Perm Krai and Russia.

Works executed in any artistic technique (drawing, applique, collage, etc.) on the theme "Adventures of A. S. Pushkin in Cherdyn" are accepted for the contest.

An amazing postcard is a bright, creative, eye-catching picture with an amusing plot, made on sturdy paper in the format 9 x 14 cm with a white border around the perimeter, giving the postcard neatness and completeness.

The contest is held in the following categories:
• Family (joint work of an adult and a child)
• School (schoolchildren aged 7 to 17)
• Adult (adults aged 18 and over)
• Professional (adults with formal artistic education)

Evaluation criteria:
• Relevance to the contest theme
• Expressiveness
• Originality
• Aesthetic presentation
• Compliance with the 9x14 cm format

Use of themes in the postcard's plot related to Cherdyn's historical past and present, its natural and architectural landmarks, and folk crafts is welcome. Only original (authored) works will be considered in the contest.

The best works will take part in an exhibition to be held at the Cherdyn Local History Museum named after A.S. Pushkin. The museum plans to produce printed versions of the most amazing and interesting postcards! These postcards can be sent from Cherdyn on the museum's birthday, which will be celebrated on June 8.
