On May 17, the Borodino Field Museum-Reserve invites everyone to join the annual "NIGHT OF MUSEUMS".
In the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland the theme of the event is "Heroes." We will seek to reveal the theme of heroism through the events that took place on the field in the two Patriotic Wars.
Performed by actors of the Moscow Youth Theatre of V.S. Spesivtsev, guests will see the play "Vasily Terkin," based on the poem of the same name by Alexander Tvardovsky. Vasily Terkin is a composite image of the Russian soldier. He is brave, strong and never downcast. The audience will not only enjoy talented acting but will also sing well-known wartime songs together with the performers.
Next, guests will be treated to the dance program "Melodies and Dances of the Great Victory."
Our hosts will speak about the dance traditions of the victorious spring and about the dances that became popular after the war, among them the krakowiak, polka, waltz, foxtrot, padespan, tsyganochka and barynya. Those who wish may join the dances and feel the atmosphere of the joyful May days of 1945. After all, even during wartime people found time to dance.
Interactive areas will be available for guests, and there will also be a master class "Flowers of Victory."
A pleasant conclusion to a bright and interesting day will be a treat of delicious festive cake and drinks!
On this day the main exhibition "Glory Forever, Borodino" will be open until 20:00.
The event starts at 17:00
Admission is free.
Venue: Mozhaisky District, Borodino Field, the area behind the Main Exhibition.
Spend a wonderful May evening at our museum!
