Traveling exhibition "In Praise of the City of Catherine"
About exhibition
The traveling exhibition "In Praise of the City of Catherine" tells the story of the founding of the city of Yekaterinodar, its renaming to Krasnodar, and the city’s socio-economic development. The city has a very interesting history. The founding of Yekaterinodar is directly connected with the Black Sea Cossacks. The establishment of the city had the main purpose of providing the Black Sea Cossacks with a permanent place of residence. On August 15, 1793, the senior officers of the Black Sea Cossack Host decided to found the city. The city was named Yekaterinodar, or “Catherine’s gift.” Advance booking is required by phone: +7 (861) 262-40-86; +7 (861) 267-16-21.
